View Full Version : Thick people (or just drunk)?

I went to a Hard-Fi gig for free last night, in return for handing out CDs at the end, blank now - but with a free download of last night's gig onto them if you go to a website yadda yadda yadda - simple concept.

Why then, on a Sunday evening, where nobody seemed very pissed did I hear, "Oh my god, you got these produced very quickly!?" at least 20 odd times?! :bash:

THicker still, one girl asked my what the name of the second band was. Replied, "Oh, God Knows." And she took me seriously and said she was going to google them today because they were great!

That doesn't sound like the most simple concept to explain to a load of pissed gig goers.

Meh, at any rate they couldn't possibly think we had already burnt 1000 odd CDs, surely...?

marketing too subtle for the intended audience - time for a rethink

If you explained it to them anything like your post, no wonder they go confused.

I think I must be drunk - I think Venom makes the most sense out of anyone here

Enjoy The Venom Experience while it lasts. It's quite an experience.

Nah, I just handed them out and listened to people's reactions, instructions were on the back...

I get paid to deal with customers during the week, god knows if I'm not getting paid I wasn't about to enter into lengthy conversations about that or the up and coming band God Knows.

that would have been a great marketing for Thick as a Brick...

anyway, I must be thick, as I'm not drunk (not that I'm aware of):

1. did I understand right that Kitsuki PLAYS in that band?
2. you were recording the gig, which would have been available the next day to download from your site, then the customer would have had to burn the downoaded music onto any virgin CD. correct? If yes then
- 2a. you were practically handing out virgin CDs ont which burn your music? that seems pretty lame to me, unless those were alredy printed with your art and graphics

BTW, who plays in first is a classic, but wasn't there a similar joke with band names? Yes!
