a bit of a mis-representation of a quite interesting article, apologies

The longer a woman takes to get pregnant, the more likely she is to have a boy, scientists suggest.
Dutch researchers analysed data for 5,283 women who gave birth to single babies between 2001 and 2003.

Among the 498 women who took longer than a year to get pregnant, the chance of having a boy was almost 58%, the British Medical Journal study found.

So by that logic if a woman takes less long to get pregnant, the child is more likely to be female?

And what does "takes x time to get pregnant" mean? Male partners with greater or lesser staying power?

The time between when they start trying to conceive and when conception occurs.

It means if you start trying to get pregnant on a certain date, how many months before you succeed.

I wonder how this is borne out by British teens who get pregnant immediately at 14 and have girls called Shaznay.

WARNING:
PROBABLY TOO MUCH INFORMATION BELOW
:p

without delving into details, someone I know revealed she got pregnant of her only daughter after only 2 months trying
BUT, considering she also revealed they gave it ONE try per month, that means he got the bullseye at just the 2nd attempt
KNOWING FURTHERLY that he only had 1 testicle left (after cancer surgery several years ago), he can be excused for not scoring at first attempt.
he's not dutch tho, and they named the girl Martha

One try per month? No practice? :(

well, their sex habits (or lack thereof) are not my business after all, nor my concern, actually

I only wanted to suggest that the actual frequence of intercourses should be as important as the length of timespan...
You can have 20 in 2 weeks or 2 in 2 months, so, what gives?

it still probably means she had a cold thermometer up there 20 times - wouldn't the sex be preferable instead?

Not really because the woman isn't equally fertile at all times. So a lot of times there'd be no chance of getting pregnant.

It's pure chance that;s all. Each batch of spunk has the same chance of making it through to the egg. As with most things in life, the female makes the males job as tricky as possible :p

MDA

the woman has to be ovulating - essentially what funko said...

true, except that hose who instead rely on that because they want to *avoid* pregnancy, find out that can be very tricky and hard to achieve too
are you too young to remember the name Ogino?

You could say that any child born from "one fuck per month" parents was lucky. I would say he/she was the unluckiest child in the world.

that makes me think to that manager's guideline
"reduce the % of unlucky employees by directly scrapping a batch of CVs chosen at random"

:D
