can sitting at a chair really be considered work? ;)

I wouldn't know what that much work feels like

btw, technically I've worked 48 hours straight (though it was more like 38- but officially it was 48).

that's the U.S. Navy for ya.

Pah!

At the end of today I will have done 25 consecutive 12 hour shifts.
I know I don't do a lot while I'm here, it's just the physical act of getting up in the morning and staying awake for a full shift that does me in.

I've got 6 days off after today though, yaaaaay.:bounce:

I once worked 75 consecutive 26 hour shifts having new interrogation techniques tested on me.

26/24h???
So, what happened on the two overlapping hours?
you had two independent teams torturing you at the same time?
;)
____________

I once "worked" 60 consecutive hours.
Actually, it was for our first Programming exam at the Uni, and we had to wrap up our SW in time to submit it to our professor.

Towards the end we were all hearing bells in our heads

(BTW, it was an albeit elementary turn-based strategy game (!!!) programmed in Pascal on an Apple II  )

I never stated that the shifts took place within a 24 hour period.

true, but unless otherwise stated I thought it had to be implicitly assumed

shouldn't a working shifts schedule be organised on a daily basis?

you're right that strictly speaking with "consecutive" you might intend that no shift different from 26hrs interloped inthe sequence...
but OTOH, would two 26 hours shifts with 10 free days interval between them still be properly considered "consecutive"???

please bear with me, inane pedantry is the most exciting activity I indulge in...
:cute:

A shift is a shift. It can start in one day and finish in the next day? Mine started in one day and finished in the next.

I worked for 1950 hours in a row but for technical reasons they were called 26 hour shifts.

MoSe

ok
so, just to make it understandable, I figure that 75 consecutive 26h shifts with 1 mere hour interval between them are a totally different thing from 75 "consecutive" 26 h shifts every other day (say, 3 per week allowing for weekends) or from 75 "consecutive" 26 h shifts taken one per week (which would take more than a year to complete)

so, your statement lacks of information to be meaningful...
but of course I'm enjoying to be pedant about a jest statement. :D
err... is it, yeah??? :o

Wow. Barbecue pork wings. How great would that be?

(this is not rhetorical, how great would they be?)

a pork weights more than an albatros.
So its wings must be huge i's say HUGE.

you need a big big big american BBQ for those wings
