Right, new round. You all know the drill, except those who don't. (In which case it involves sending anonymous tracks to a central compiler who then makes a Mix-CD of them and sends it out to everyone who gets to review each track knowing neither who it's by or who sent it.)

The themes (unless someone thinks of better ones) are "wide-eyed" and "legless" as suggested by Laz. One track for each theme.

We need a complier, ideally resident in the UK to minimise cost. I can do it but then we'd have to do the "Send stuff to Reading to be copied and redistributed" thing 'cause I'm unemployed and broke, frankly. Unless only like ten of you participate, in which case half the CDs are going to Reading anyway and can all go in one big happy package.

It's going to end up being me again, isn't it?

I could do it to.

Right, so far we have as participants:

Laz + Gimp
Mr Bas
Immortal Wombat
Mad Squirrel

Compiler: Lazarus and the Gimp

Review compilers: Birdseed + Funko + ? + ?

Theme: Songs of Innocence/Songs of Experience

Uh...sign me up please. If you guys don't care about cost you can send them here...though it may complicate things and I'm starting a new position on Monday that will take up some time.

I'm happy to be a review compiler. I think if I'm CD compiler I'll be a bottleneck but I have never done it before so if no-one else volunteers...

but it'd have to be in Feb. Jan I am totally snowed under.

Count me in for now. I still have to resolve some computer issues and for me february is better as well, but even in jan I could send out a cd even though it'd be a hassle. I doubt that it'll be underway anytime soon though, looking at the previous LWP's.

February seems likely then. Hopefully we'll have another four or five participants by then. Debaser? Ghirda?

03-01-2006, 14:19:15
Ghirda?!?! I'm not one of your scandinavian ho's you know.

I'm more than happy to participate though. I think gramercy and novacane could be persuaded too, they both have excellent and varied tastes (though it pains me to say it)

Immortal Wombat

I'd like to play again. If I can find some fitting songs.

Nice one. You've been responsible for some of the funniest things I've ever heard. Even today, I still find myself breaking out in an impression of Finntroll in Waitrose occasionally.

Can I suggest a better theme? Inspired by William Blake, I'd like to suggest "Somgs of Innocence" and "Songs of Experience".

That's a great theme.

I vote for that one. Very inspiring, with the potential to be very good.

Immortal Wombat
04-01-2006, 00:27:34
Yeah, that is good. And it can still be shoehorned into wide-eyed and legless if people have got tracks sorted already.

04-01-2006, 09:51:33
I like that one too.

04-01-2006, 12:13:51
I'd like in as well please, provided my past unreliability on the review front doesn't disqualify me.

04-01-2006, 12:20:44
Are you going to be more reliable?

Scabrous Birdseed
04-01-2006, 12:55:00
Four participants going for this theme is good enough for me. Now all we need is music, sweet music. There'll be music exerywhere - swinging, swaying and records playing and dancing in the streets.

Oh and a compiler plus two additional review compilers would be good.

I suppose I might as well do the burning duties.

Mad Squirrel

I'd like to participate.

12-01-2006, 10:47:29
And that's a complete-ish set of ten. That's one full CD.

Any additional participants is now a bonus.

17-01-2006, 12:29:15
I'm happy to compile 2 reviews.

I think I have both my tracks selected...

Except one that I heard the other day and thought "this is perfect" I've temporarily forgotten.
