Not only did I get an email from Bob Geldof today (re Live 8) I also got this:

Dear Sir/Madam,

we have logged your IP-address on more than 30 illegal Websites.

Please answer our questions!
The list of questions are attached.

Yours faithfully,
Steven Allison

++++ Central Intelligence Agency -CIA-
++++ Office of Public Affairs
++++ Washington, D.C. 20505

++++ phone: (703) 482-0623
++++ 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., US Eastern time

question_list.zip (55.6 KB)

However.... it was addressed to djb.lytham@tiscali.co.uk which is not my email although mine is tiscali. Now I'm confused. Is this a virus? Has anyone else had one? Obviously the CIA don't send out random questionnaires to people breaking the law, but how did it get to me via someone else's address?

Never seen that particular one but it's definitely a virus.

I think they're implying that they have signed you up for 30 illegal sites.

Either way I suggest you stop what you've been doing and purge your harddrive immediately!

23-11-2005, 13:49:26
We all know the "illegal sites" are porn.

23-11-2005, 14:09:27

I just this minute got that e-mail.

Well, that certainly proves it is not in any way whatsoever related to having surfed porn.

23-11-2005, 16:33:00
but rather to having starred in it?

Well, maybe, but to be really sure you should ask Norks to determine whether there is some common denominator.

Bizarre. Next there will be a questionaiire saying "Are you Osama Bin Laden? Click here if you aren't".

It's distressing how many people click emails and popups but little I can do about it, other than to say;-

"Don't be such a pillock".

I didn't open the attachment, just the email.

I've never starred in porn Lurker, but I could do for a small advance fee :D

You guys probaly don't know this, but there was a guy from poly a few years back that reported ACOL to the FBI.

He used to tell me to avoid that place as it was 'under investigation!'
