That may well be overtaken by political events. Looks like the Americans will cut and run for the Nov 2006 elections (ie at least withdrawal plans until then).

The result, then, is a kurdish pseudo-feudal state and a shiite theocracy fighting to control the Sunnis in the middle.

I guess the Kurds will have no problem to let the anglosaxon multis in, the shiites will take their cues from Teheran.
