Who? (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/tv_and_radio/4439670.stm)

The daughter of former Prime Minister Baroness Thatcher is among the 10 hopefuls taking part in reality show I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here.

Journalist Carol Thatcher will be joined in the Australian rainforest by ex-Atomic Kitten singer Jenny Frost and TV antiques expert David Dickinson.

Others include former EastEnders actors Sid Owen and Elaine Lordan.

The other contestants are ex-Blue singer Anthony Costa, wine expert Jilly Goolden, former child star Jimmy Osmond, Kimberley Davies, who played Annalise in Neighbours, and Emmerdale star Sheree Murphy.

Analise is a great name for a porn movie

I had heard they were trying to get Mr T. What a jip.

I know who Carol Thatcher, David Dickenson, Sid Owen, Jilly Goolden, Jimmy Osmond and Kimberley Davis are.

If they said Elaine Lordan was Lynne Slater I'd have known who she was too.

As for the others? Meh.

The only one who is properly famous as a household name is Dickenson.

Yeah... bollocks.

Aside from all the others there's Jimmy Osmond!!

Even someone totally disinterested in all this tabloid/celebrity stuff like me only doesn't immediately know three of them, and those I do know I consider to be relatively famous. (and I might well recognise the three I don't know if I saw pictures of them).

If you are a tabloid / heat / celebrity gossip reader I'm sure they'd all be really well known. And let's face it, that is the target audience for this kind of show.

I notice that none of them are famous enough to be reported using just their names, without a little reminder phrase.

David Dickinson is the only one I could have immediately placed without the labels.

I only recognized Kimberley Davies, but I didn't know where from until the reminder phrase.

Not many interesting people by the looks of it, but it's the way a random mix of people interact with each other which is the intriguing part. It will be odd to see Annalise from Neighbours again after however many years. Never fancied her that much anyway, she does have a face that makes up well.
