I like:
Crown (the Canadian import)
Makers Mark
Knobb Creek
Jack Daniels (although it less...)
Talisker Scotch
Johnny Walker

I don't like:
Southern Comfort
Jim Bean
Wild Turkey
Whatever rail generally is

I have drank Ezra Brooks.. but not in a while (and I was less picky when younger.. I have started not even drinking Jack)

The Islay malts. Once you get a taste for them, you never look back. That covers Lagavulin, Laphraoig and Caol Ila.

Of the Speyside malts, I'm a fan of Glenfarclas, Macallan and Aberlour.

Poit Dubh isn't a single malt (it's a blend of 100% malts that are all aged at least 10 years) but it can wipe the floor with most singles. Its Skye neighbour Talisker is another great.

Jack Daniels

and most of the scottish single malts, but i can't afford them.

Hmmm... I'm not that much of a connaisseur, but the ones that come to mind as my favourites are Highland Park, Glenkinchie and Laphroaig. Dimple is really nice too. I don't really like Jack Daniels, Jim Beam, Jameson or Johnny Walker that much, most of the other cheaper whiskies I've had are decent though.

My home village, although it's quite small, has a whisky bar with one of the largest, if not the largest, collections of malt whiskies in Europe. It's a great place to get acquainted with new whiskies.

I once had a whisky and coke instead of a vodka and coke. It was disgusting...

I've never had a vodka and coke. Couldn't imagine it being good. Perhaps I'll try it sometime. Couldn't be worse than tonic. :vom:

Thanks for that Nav. :vom:

Jim Beam. Then again, I can't drink anything (Whisky anyway) neat, I need coke (and a straw and razor blade) with it.
