All the stuff like the big smoking gun show (the truck with chemical labs) and Saddam supporting Osama's terrorists?

Now it's official: It was just a dream!

Mr Bush said he was open to criticism for his policies but it was "deeply irresponsible to rewrite the history of how the war began".

"Some Democrats and anti-war critics are now claiming we manipulated the intelligence and misled the American people about why we went to war," he said.

"The stakes in the global war on terror are too high and the national interest is too important for politicians to throw out false charges."

Oh this sucks, all the wasted energy! Well, I wonder if there's really a George Bush or if he's Michael Jackson in disguise. Or vice versa. Or vice president. Or what ...

People like Bush are big believers in repeating a lie so much that people can no longer tell the lie from the truth.

Ok, George. It's "deeply irresponsible" to set your lies straight. Let's all hold hands, bomb some Iraqis and hand some money to Haliburton.

He isn't telling a lie. The democrats at the time had the exact same faulty intellegence that the white house based the justification over.

The difference is the white house also had the real intellegence and suppressed it, only giving the democrats and congress the stuff that supported thier lies.

I think most of the Congressmen on both sides knew the case was being trumped up but since Bush's poll numbers were sky high everyone was afraid to cross him and just went along with it. It's telling how now Bush's numbers have crashed and all sorts of Republicans are trying to distance themselves from him and his policies in every way possible.
