OK, ok. I broke down and bought this over the weekend. On the face of it, it does not seem too bad. However, I have a couple of observations.

1) "Hi, my name is Sid". So Sid gets his face in the game and talks through the tutorial. Looks like he has put on a bit of weight so CivIII must have sold well. I understand that there is an Easter Egg in the game and at some point the animated Sid strips down to his underwear and dances the can-can.

2) You have to love the Firaxian arrogance that emerges sometimes. Look at the manual and turn to the credits. Composers - first up is Jeffrey L. Briggs, arch Firaxian, then some minor Firaxians and, finally, almost as an afterthought and bringing up the rear, a supporting cast of luminaries such as Allegri, Bach........ And they don't even get Christian names. I can always get a smile out of these guys.
