Neil Jordan's classic is finally out on DVD. It's a real one-off- a bloody feminist fairy-tale, packed with surreal Freudian imagery.

Every time I feel inclined to list my top 10 favourite films, this one's in it. Even if the animiatronic special effects look a bit creaky 20 years on, it's still great.

Ah, I was about to say "but my flat mate's had it on DVD for ages", but then realised I was thinking of Brotherhood of the Wolf, an entirely different film, but still a classic.
Haven't seen Company of Wolves I don't think.
