The view from my flat is absolutely fantastic this time of year. Looking out of the living room I counted 30 seperate sets of fireworks going off at the same time looking out across south london. Along the horizon there must have been about 20 around croydon, merton and sutton with some much closer ones in wimbledon and tooting. They weren't all proffesional displays but there must have been at least 15-20 big shows going on judging by the size of the blasts.

If you were flying into gatwick last night it must have been quite hair raising.

I witnessed the same thing on my way into Manchester city centre from the vantage point of the Cornbrook Metrolink stop, which if any knows Manchester, provides a good view across Salford and all the way to the Pennines in the East.

Celebrating when we executed the guy who tried to blow up parliment!

We actually had him hanged drawn and quartered but in the celebrations we always burn his effigy in the fire.

Yeah, same thing here!

Though I did make the effort to go to the main one at Cooper's Field - very good it was too!
