I'm about due and I work for Best Buy now. I get a very good discount there.
Go to their website and advise me on something for someone who wants a decent computer (all I do is email, forums and the occasional game).
The ability to hook it up to the pending 52" plasma monitor I'll probably end up buying is good too.
Thank you oh techinical ones.

Infact ignore that - didn't read the description fully. It has a lot of useless features.

Hmm... not sure about the video card. Might be tricky hooking it up to a plasma without an SVHS output.

Unless the plasma has a DVI in or a VGA in? Even so, you're limited on cable lengths - SVHS can have up to a 10 metre cable length.

Snag with SVHS is, you're limited to max resolution of 1024 X 768 (I THINK that's right).

I'll have a trawl and see if I can come up with a better plan. Expect a fresh post in a couple of days.

I don't think people use "SVHS" in North America...

Our high-def hookups are DVI, HDMI (DVI's successor - expensive right now), and component cables (analog).

DVI is the most common HDTV digital connector in North America, at least.
