Next year. Would be good to book it soonish when we can still get cheap flights.

Westend Studios? I think I stayed there several years ago.

As a matter of fact, I did stay there. Now that's coincidence.

My suggestion is to look at the rates and travel as late as you can into the spring. End of March won't usually be "bad" weather, but end of April is bound to be better in general. I should be able to accommodate some people, but understand that I don't live in the city.

You looked at this page? (http://www.hostelz.com/display.php/551+West+End+Studios)

My room didn't quite look like the one on the picture, but it wasn't a dirty shithole either. Just a bit run down. The bathrooms were nice though and the owner/receptionist was an ok guy.

March has been proposed? NY can still be quite cold in March mikey, just so you know.

Try April and you might be able to see a Yankees-Baltimore game.

I'll be there.

And maybe I actually will.

Chris

Yep, I GOTTA move.

Funko

Any time in April adds 100 (over a third) to the cost of the flights I'd much prefer March if possible.

Chris

OK. Its 4.44 celsius in NY right now BTW.

What are you looking to spend, how long to stay, ect.

Lurker the Second

Fuckin' A. You can't come Venom b/c I won't have anyone to play SWG with when I tell those fools I'm sick and can't come out.

Best/cheapest option is to fly in and out midweek so probably about a week.

If we come in March we can get flights for about 250, nice not to have to spend much more than that on acommodation...

Expedia is looking like we can do a week with flights and a two star hotel for about 600... or maybe we'll stay with Lurker depending how far out of town he is.

Servers will probably be down those days anyway. Either that or there will be a crippling bug.

This is just the fall here, but you never know, sometimes its nice in March, or there can be snow.

Funko: I live about 15 miles west of Manhattan. There is regular bus and train service into the city. The bus stops at the end of my block and is most convenient, although I'm not sure how late the last run out of the city is. Train is more reliable and quicker generally, but is too far to walk to. Most of the time, though, I don't think getting to or from the train station will be a problem b/c I'll either be around or joining you or can drop you off on the way to work.

They can even help you, I'm sure Mikey can fake being blind and hold a tin cup for a few hours.

how can you people afford all this travel?!!

Funko
26-10-2005, 17:54:18
It's cheap. Rotterdam cost me 60 transport (what's that, a pair of shoes? ;) ) and we had free acommodation, this will be 250ish for the flights and if we can stay with Lurkie for a bit that'd be great too.

Yeah definately want to stay in Manhatten! :D

Would prefer to go when it's a bit warmer though (have a chance of sitting outside/ nicer weather etc).
