I'm wondering who is considered at least "much better than average" or even "expert" at various things. I think we need a resource list so we know who to ask what. I'm aware of top shelf geeks, lab types, medicos, barristers, mechanics, musicians, etc. here...let's trot it out.

List your exceptional skills in order of best first, etc. here. Feel free to elaborate if you want...might be some surprises. And "obscure" is good too...if you make a killer bong or can exterminate anyone at Risk, then fine...feel free.

I bet we've got some cool hidden skills here...

Hmmmm....

Writing
Cooking
Firearms/target shooting
Scrabble
Canasta
Acting
Trivia
Auto body repair/paint estimations

May edit/add more if I think of them...unearthing your own talents is harder than I thought, and I'm a pompous ass!

Ummm, I'm really not good at anything. At best, I'm average at a few things. Except thinking of ways to torture and harm people, but only thinking, because doing would require too much effort.

I thought you were at least a coder...and a soccer player.
Not to mention son of a famous television personage.

I'm mediocre at most things in my field, but that means I can impress the laymen. I even impressed my classmates this evening by telling them that messages are compressed before encryption because encryption increases the message's entropy, thus making it less compressible (but they're software engineers, so you can't expect too much out of them). I can talk on most computer-related subjects. More abstractly, I'm an excellent learner--I pick up new skills and information very quickly.
