At the BGH homestead it is:

Rottini pasta
tossed with
Sun dried tomato alfredo sauce (embellished with sauces from the below mentioned saute and a dollop of sour cream)
and a mixture of
portobello mushroom sausage
sauteed with
red onion
red bell pepper
orange bell pepper
mushrooms
rose' wine (cheapish; kept for cooking and the mother in law)
topped with fresh spinach leaves until slightly wilted

Mmmmmm...

Chicken breast in a hot and spicy sauce
Roasted Vegetable Rissota(sp?)
Chopped cherry tomatoes, red/yellow peppers with basil and balsamic vineger.

Tonight was flank steak rolled with portabello mushrooms, crush almonds, chopped spinach, and feta cheese. It was all rolled up then tied off with a piece of string and cut into widthwise slices of 1.5-2 inches thickness. I was to lazy to make anything else but I did open a (rather mediocre) bottle of Bordeaux.

I had chicken soup from a can the night before, even I can't mess that up!

I'm ill with a cold anyway, not poisoning :)

A really spicy curry is great for a cold/flu.

It opens up every pore and you can feel the germs sweat out!

Hmm. Does Bourbon and Cola count as dinner? ;)

Most likely Indian, depends on what I am lazy enough to put together.

Grilled chicken with bacon, cheese and honey mustard sauce on top. With garlic mashed potatos. So basically, I went to a restaurant.

Tonight? Who knows!

What's for dinner ? Nothing yet. Probably have to go out buy some rolls, or a loaf for ham sandwiches.

Ah but lunch ! That was different. Slices of lamb shoulder with mint sauce, courgettes, lyonnaise spuds, covered with gravy ... Mmmmmm.....

A change of heart form the missus. We are now having

Chicken with green pepper and spring onion in black bean sauce. Served on a bed of fresh noodles.

Mmm... nice!

I've got a 4 pound pork loin in the fridge...thinking of a champagne mustard glaze to put on it, but if you've got any good slow cooking/pork loin ideas instead, I might go for it.

Of course. That's why I'm dieting. Because it's trendy. My fatness is a glandular problem. Also, I have big bones.

Just happened to become a huge soccer fan early in the 90s (right before they got good with all the youngsters and your namesake, the non-fat, non-gay Cantona), and actually had the means to get news from England. I don't think it was bandwagon action, but maybe they were just in the magazines a bunch at that time.

I'm going to attempt

http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/database/redpepperandprawncur_74135.shtml

on Saturday.

Feel free to give me some other recipes as food is a little boring at the moment. Bearing in mind I don't particularly like pork, veil and mutton.

Tizzy
13-10-2005, 16:27:37
Mmm, prawns.

I've just found a nice sounding recipe, but I'd probably get shot for trying to make it cos it's got crab in it :(

And I can't decide between 2 choices of what to cook tonight - vaguely Chinese or vaguely Italian.

Funko
13-10-2005, 16:58:40
How much crab?

Answer: whichever's spicier!
