Apparently having a degree and a PhD isn't enough to convince the government that I can read, write and count so I had to go and take some stupid tests.

And I passed!

The government knows full well the standard / worth of the qualifications it gives out.

Congrats on passing the harder stuff anyway.

Yeah - everybody says these tests are a joke. They even let you retake them as many times as you want.

I can only start doing them from the 7th, good thing is we have a testing site on campus so it's just a question of popping in and doing it. Been told that ICT one is a bugger if you actually use computers a lot as a lot of the shortcuts people normally use aren't available on this program they test you on.

yeah its really daft. You have a little pretend windows OS with a pretend email client and pretend office programs.

So they are actually testing to see if you can use fake software.

Whats really daft is that they are testing if you can use web browsers and email clients when the only way to sign up for the tests is via email and the web...

Well, if you signed up online and then fail the test, you have shown that you can delegate and are a born leader - if you pass the test, you can do things and are therefore a born subordinate.
