Well...maybe not your stuff stuff....

Anywho...wanted to start a new one as I have some recent trip pics and the long thread makes it too easy to miss y'all's pictures...

The view from our house on the Big Hole river in Divide, Montana. It's heaven up there and only feet from the river.

In case you ever wanted to know what it would be like to wake up with me...here you go. Zane and I crashed...well...I'm crashed anyhow. He's scheming, as usual.

That's all for now.

Why the hell are some of those tiny and the others normal???

***ok...fixed it...apparently when viewing a thumbnail one should not select its properties as your link to the photo.

That is the view from your house?

Shit. You must wake up every day and feel like buddha, all happy and calm and so on.

I look out of my window and see fucking students.

They're shooting porn vids in your neighbourhood, protein?

Unfortunately, that's the view from the family house in Montana.
I live in Oregon...my view is pretty green and happy here...but can't touch the Montana view with a ten foot pole.

I'm desperately trying to figure out how to get writing so I can live there as much as possible. It sits vitually empty much of the year and is equally beautiful in the winter and fall.

How much did it cost to buy a spread like that in Montana? I'm assuming it's like a retirement home for you and your wife or something, right?

BigGameHunter
12-09-2005, 02:26:32
Actually, my grandmother bought it in 1961. We're on our third generation of ownership and it is ostensibly a retreat for my mother's family, which is pretty small. My sister, myself and my cousing are joint owners.
It is in the middle of nowhere and is only valued at @ 70k, which is super low for what we get: seclusion, riverside access to a blue ribbon trout river and peace!
We'll probably never sell it.

I love normal...I embrace normal.
Oh...who am I kidding...I am so bizarre it hurts sometimes.

But I do like being a family man. Aside from the heart rending stress of responsibility and constant paranoia about losing everything and everyone that is importand to you...it's great!

I lost almost 40 lbs. late last year. Put a good bunch of it back on this last month (stress, wakes and vacation seem to help that cause) but am still holding the line and not nearly as heavy as I've been.
I'm about 5'11"...so can't afford to pack it on too much...not like the Dutch who I hear go about 7'2" and 350 lbs. on average!!!

You were supposed to say that the wife is an amazon you met while on a trip, and the children are large as a product of good genes.
