Got some lamb for dinner (goes off today)

Was going to make curry. Mmmm curry. Curry, curry curry. (sung to tune of Trolley)

Any other suggestions? It's just diced lamb.

:) It's booked to go off today eh ? What time ;)

In any case, I thought the idea of adding spices was to hide the fact it has gone off.

Tandoori! lots of garlic and butter!

Invite Keith Floyd round to cook for you. He'd come up with a good idea.

We don't have a large enough wine stock for that!

Curry so good!

I am thinking about trying a kind of tandoori chicken soup. A bit like a Tom Yum, but with shit loads of corriander, whole cardomams (sp?) Alloo, onion, ginger, garlic and chilli.

I am envisaging something with a goulash like consistancy / spiciness, but with the unmistakeable Indian flavour......hmmm, fuck Floyd, I'm your man!

I made a soup quite like that not so long ago, although the stock was a bit thin. No cardomum, but I had lemongrass in it for a bit of a Thai flavour.
Tandoori style chicken would have made it even nicer though......hmm, next time!

Why waste perfectly good lamb on all sorts of sauce. Put it on the bbq or the grill pan, until it's rose on the inside. Serve with some rice and vegetables. We had lambchops on the bbq wednessday, absolutely fantastic.

It's not Sunday, and potatoes are too much effort (not least because we don't have any)

Ah, skipped the last bit. In which case a lamb and mint casserole. The rest stays the same unless you're unadventurous or have no potatoes in ;)

It's going to have to be curry.
We haven't had curry since Monday, so Funko will probably explode or something if we don't have some tonight :)

Although zmama's stew sounds nice

Just make spaghetti and throw a jar of sauce over it. Much easier.

I am disturbed when this thread is directly above "Human Beings" in the thread listing.

I've started to like cumin to spice up meats. I first tried it in a Chinese restaurant and it adds some heat but also other flavors. It's just something new.

Funko

It's funny, I've used cumin in combination with other stuff for curries loads but only recently have I tried using it on its own more. Works really well with lamb and also potato dishes.

Try Cumin, mustard seed and flaked dried chillis on roast potatoes (roast them first then when they are done add the spices to the roasting dish and cook it on the hob for a couple of minutes).
