yeah a meet is in order, mentioned this to his ae RC over the weekend as well. Start a thread spartak!

Personally, I'd rather do this in Reading but could be persuaded to go up to town. I'm working next weekend. Ideas? Suggestions? Who might turn up where?

Reading is easier for the West Country contingent, as well as the usual Accountant reprobates. If I'm free on the chosen day, I'll be up for it.

don't know when I'm free, start my training course shortly. If I'm free I'm up for a pint.

I don't mind going down to Reading if someone doesn't mind putting me up for the night! Would be best on a friday / saturday if that was the case though.

How about the 9th?

Tizzy
31-08-2005, 09:18:53
I'll vote for Reading :D

Although the next 3 weekends aren't good for me so I might have to miss it :(

Yes, he's the one in the wheelchair with the thick glasses...

or, alternately...

The 7 foot tall black man with the filed teeth and war club.

Well, diverting attention away from this awkward moment- after all my harping on about how safe Bracknell is, poor old Mobius had his car broken into! This is literally the first time thats happened here in two years, but even weirder, they didnt take anything, they just unscrewed his stereo, arranged it on his backshelf, and left the doors slightly ajar. It was more of a Dadaist statement than a burglary.

It's a Dada moment that translates as "Bummer. Your stereo's shit."

Talk about surreal...

All the passenger doors were shut but not properly so, so you could obviously see they were unlocked! Glove box open etc, but the boot was closed.

I checked it and everything was still there - camping rollmats, sleeping bags, camera tripod etc - about 150-200 of kit...

So basically breathed a sign of relief, told Norks about it and then set off back home early cos the g/f got grabbed by about five kids and egged the night before on her way home from work!

No physical harm done, just the whole shock of it and the mess as well...

Anyway, driving along and I heard this rattling sound behind me and realised the back seat had fallen down showing the boot - then I saw the cd player on the backshelf!

Someone had gone to the elaborate measure of unscrewing it from the boot and then placing it there as well as doing everything else - but not a thing appears missing, not even the money in the cig lighter drawer...

Anyway, although strangely violated and mildly mindfucked I guess I should count my blessings I suppose...

I guess someone round there was pissed I took their parking spot, a note would have done - it would have taken them less time!

Sorry, I'm not actually laughing at your girlfriends ordeal, but this made me laugh. Reminded me of an episode of Peepshow .

Must be some kind of happy slapping shit or whatever the latest craze is for little fucking retarded delinquents...

She was really shook up by it, but seems OK now.

And it could have been far worse - I sort of feel both of us dodged bullets this W/E, although mine only appears to have been a slightly weird prank, compared to actually being assaulted...

I still don't believe that, if that was the case it would have been easier to run off with the CD player rather than neatly place it on the backshelf and shut the boot behind them.

No one in our street would do that, its mainly old people and couples. We dont have fixed parking spaces either so there's no revenge to take or reason to be pissed off as most people park in the garages if there's no spaces, and as you say it would be easier to leave a note. Its certainly a very odd thing to do but I guess we'll never know who or why. Its certainly the first 'crime' thats happened here since I've here. How very embarassing that its the one time soemone stays. It might well be kids just trying to freak people out, but again we dont really get that here. Hmmm... weirdness!

absolutely. I can only apologise on behalf of the chavsters who did it. DH used to have his sports car parked outside on the stret and we never had so much as a scratch. I guess you cant always fathom what goes on in people's minds!

As usual, someone needs to explain some things to me. First, what happened to Mobius' g/f? Does he mean she was physically grabbed by five kids and they held her while they threw eggs at her? Second, wtf is Venom talking about?

Funko
12-09-2005, 14:02:18
I don't know but one of the comedians I saw on Saturday had a joke about a video he saw in Amsterdam called "Fucked by Fish"

Venom

So she had eggs throw at her, at least they weren't chucking fish.

BigGameHunter

At least they weren't dinosaur eggs. Or were they?

I think it was DH, sending a subtle message...good thing you didn't wake up with that CD in your bed, all bloody and stuff. That would have been worse!
;)
