They have moved our call centre to India. Kind of a strange concept for a company aimed at Americans. The cluelessness of the people answering your credit card questions has increased enormously. My suggestion for their new slogan:

American Express - Don't leave India without it.

What all movies was she referencing?

Heavenly Creatures
Sense and Sensibility
Titanic
Iris
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Finding Neverland

quite a impressing line of films i must say.

Is that another one of those AmEx commercials that have absolutely nothing to do with credit cards?

Well, they have varying degrees of no-product-relation.

I've seen all of them. I likes a Reading girl doing well for herself.

Well I'm male and straight and never have been totally pussy-whipped. Thus I haven't seen any of them.

Nope.

Kate is from Reading though. I vaguely know her dad from the music scene.

That definately isn't her real accent btw. Her real accent is more cockney/farmer than princess/secret agent. She comes from a rough part of Reading and her dad is a rough, gruff old boy with an accent.

well my mother's from battersea and my dad was from motherwell and yet my accent is similar to the Kate accent. I think its a product of Reading girl's schooling more than anythng else.

Down the bottom of the Oxford Rd where my best mate lives there's a complex of flats half called Branagh court (as in Kenneth Branagh, also a Readinger) and half called Winslet Court. I'm waiting unil Gervais Court is opened LOL
