Yeah, definitely sounds like you deserve a reversal of fortune...all that shit and having to be a corporate slave to boot...here's to your next year

hell why not.

I'm having a 75% paycut this year to do teacher training.

half your current salary = LUXURY!!!!

just weigh it up rationally- can you provide for the family and have enough time with them? will it mean moving somewhere smaller? Does it only look attractive because of what's recently happened? I went back to Uni within two months of my Dad dying and I'm not sure it benefited me. Think it through, thats all I can say. It might be the best thing you've ever done, it might be the worst , it might be neither, just think it through properly.

I can't afford to live on 1/2 my salary...I can barely make it on what I get now. It would entail Mrs. BGH getting a job making near the same amount at least...we're going to consider over our impending vacation.
I've been bombarding the market with resumes the last week...just automated responses so far...no interviews yet.
Kind of dumb timing on my part...I'll be out of contact for @10 days.

From what I've heard I couldn't blame you for telling them to shove their job right up their behinds :D

Happy birthday - sticking it out for your family is very cool imo.

Respect to you!

If you decide not to take the comic book job, call them up and ask for double salary. The worst they can say is no, are you fucking crazy?? Geez. But they might say yes. And you weren't planning on taking it anyway, so no loss there.

 Happy Birthday!
