Although anyone with any sense and a sound (excuse the pun) music taste can avoid paying attention to the music charts, some of this year's chart toppers so called music has been getting everywhere! Who's been your most irritating??!!

Do the charts actually matter anymore?

No.

Crazy Frog, Akon and the Chipmunk on Helium, Usher, Cold Sick and James Crunt.

Responsible for incredibly irritating kids and mobile phone ring tunes, popups on p.c.s, wine bar music and car stereo noise pollution.

Oh Akon is the worst out of those. Fucking hell.

No way, Akon kicks James blunts arse. He has a chipmonk chorus for craps sake.

That's what makes it so awful. It's just appalling.

Who is Akon?

Irritating asshole who whines about being lonely. With some distorted chipmunk chorus backup. Very, very annoying.

I guess they haven't topped the charts, but I've been unfortunate enough to hear Simple Plan recently. What a bunch of talentless rip-offs. I hope they die a slow and horrible death soon.

What's wrong with the Akon track, honestly? It's got a great melody and decent lyrics, and the speeded-up sample is only a bit derivative. Anyway, a track that samples Bobby Vinton can't be too bad.

Not heard James Blunt but if descriptions are correct he wins by deafult.

Akon, yeah I should have put him on the list too! But I didn't because I had managed to get that stupid tune out of my head ....but now it's back again aarrgghh! :bash:

I've seen those Crazy Frog tunes on various pub jukeboxes. Who the fuck over the age of 18 is going to want to put it on? I just don't get it. This country's really gone to shit.

It exists. And Bobby Vinton would have been better off being unsampled.

It's like inserting foie gras into liquid manure.

Yeah, Akon rocks, James "the Cunt" Blunt sucks. End of debate.

The track itself is bland with a highly unoriginal and boring melody, I've never paid attention to the lyrics and the speeded up sample is genuinely offensive in its badness.

the crazy frog is satan's minion but for me the biggest tragedy of recent years was not that the girl who was gang raped, scalped stabbed in the throat and left to die in prospect park was killed so brutally, but the fact her parents chose Akon 'Lonely' (her faourite track apparently) to accompany her coffin into the church for her funeral.

Aaahhh.

Almost as good as choosing a song about a pervo-stalker for a wedding or christening- 'Every Breath You Take'.
