I am a bit tired, have no work right now but loads on the horizon and my cowie's off because his wife went in for a baby scan yesterday and the baby was "smaller than expected". :(

Hope everything's ok. Apparently could just be a dates problem. *fingers crossed*

Had an update, apparently they are going to scan her more regularly so slightly less bad than could have been.

I'm playing with my new mp3 player and thinking about having my morning poo.

Funko

Oh, what did you get?

One of these

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0009GC1Q6/qid%3D1122389956/sr%3D1-4/ref%3Dsr%5F1%5F2%5F4/026-6141301-1854048

The fact that it records wavs or mp3s from stereo line in sold me on it. Like having a little dat machine for rehearsals. I haven't tried out the voice recorder yet. I wonder if it will work in a gig/rehearsal situation.

Funko

That looks quite nice. Good price too.

A gig isn't much compared to the hard disk machines but it's still 20+ albums.

Stero line in is nice.

Funko

Hmm stero. Is it dobly stero?

I don't think I'll need any more than 500 meg at any time for music. Unless I want to start transferring files to other people's pcs and I always have cds to burn in that situation.

Yep.

Or DVD-RW...

Same reason I bought a minidisc recorder...

:clueless:

and how much is a gig/rehearsal????

Funko
03-08-2005, 11:54:18
Depends how long you play for and what the quality is...

For rough calculations:

mp3 at average quality is about per megabyte a minute

wav is about 10 megabytes per minute

I'll probably be recording to mp3 in rehearsals. It's nice that the wav option is there.

both 2,5 days p/w.
It's hard to finish a design made for two friends of you, hard in the way that that particular design was like a custommade suit for the both of them.
And now we've to finish that just to get a price just above the morgage.

but the bright side, mrG is getting his pitures of bVDT029 after all :)
