View Full Version : My girlfriend just broke my PC

She's pushed the power button right back into the case and broken the internal springy bit!

So now my PC is just a metal box with none of the plastic covers on.

I took the case apart, removed the button and pressed the little internal button to turn the power on.

Beta, switch the reset jumper and the power jumper across and you should be able to use the reset to power the machine up.

I mean on the motherboard jumper pack.

No need to go that technical - the broken bit was the button on the outside of the case - its just a little lever that presses the real button on the inner metal case. I stripped the plastic front off so can just press the inner button. It doesnt actually have a seperate reset button - its one of those ones that resets if you press the power button or powers down if you hold it in.
