Mid life crisis comes with middle age.

I'd say 40 would be middle aged.

It's probably still part of the middle of your life. Middle aged is not just a single year after all, it's a period of time.

being the young thing that I am, I always considered mid-late 30's to be middle aged and anywhere in your 40's to be that awkward stage

Depends on the individual. Some people are entirely white haired by that age, while a few don't have any grey at all.

That's leaving aside products like Greek Urn 2000.

As a man in his late 20's I feel compelled to point out that the average man lives to 80 or 82 these days. That would a middle aged male would be 40 or 41 to be "middle aged".

Since I'm pushing 30 I will get technical or anything else to prove I am still in the upside of life. ;)

Well they do say when a man hits 30 he's in the prime of his life..

Since I'm pushing 40 I will happily sit here for hours explaining how I don't look middle aged at all.

Stress free lifestyle and lots of antioxidants help.

Middle-age depends on how long you plan to live. For me I'd say in my 50s would be middle-aged.

For CEO Morgan, 250.

Middle-aged begins mid-40s, I reckon, and then stretches through for as long as you can get away with it.

Interesting. I'm 27 and I feel like my physical peak has past. I was fittest, healthiest, least ill and most attractive many moons ago.

Maybe that's a state of mind thing?

40's-50's is middle aged. I'm certainly not planning on hitting middle age in 5 years time

You'll probably feel the same when you're about to hit 30 ;)

What's really amazing is how young 18 year olds look these days. 10 years ago they looked like grown ups.

I think it is. I'm in better shape then I ever was, now I'm 34. Regular fitness, healthy food and a normal sleeping pattern has proven very good for me.

Oh, and  @ Lurker.

My physical peak occurred at 27 indeed.
When 31, I was thinking that my 30th year had been the lousiest in that sense. Now, oh if I only could be still as lousy as then... :sigh:

I'm also 34, and if I was a horse they'd give me a bag of oats then shoot me in the head.

since women (on average) live longer than men, do our middle age stages come later than the male middle age??? ;P

women inter middle age at menopause... or as soon as the lose their looks, because after that goes, they might as well be dead.

Yeah pension's great..... Once you get used to it.. So long as you don't drink, smoke, or go out with bad/good women....
Then it doesn't go very far.....
