I dreamt last night there was this car accident and all the belongings were scattered on the roadside and I pocketed two mobiles

Yeah, that's the best value :)
You can get loads of good handsets free on contract, but as Matt says it depends what features etc you're looking for.

I'm only going for pay as you go phones, because I don't trust myself with a contract phone!

ideally it would have a colour screen, camera and bluetooth, but if it doens't have bluetooth I'm not all that fussed

I much prefer a folding phone. Something like a Motorola Razor is very nice.

It's much harder to press the buttons by accident.

why two weeks?

I would guess that's Alsieboo's payday.

I paid 30 quid for my pay as you go, plus one 3 voucher for #15. The credit only lasts 30 days but I rarely use it all anyway.

So I paid 30 quid and I'm in for 50p a day.

I'm sure you can find a better deal than that in 2 weeks!

All phone cameras suck. But if you know that, and still want one anyway, that's fine. Fairly soon you won't be able to get a phone without one anyhow.

Bluetooth is a security hazard.

but handy though!

I've been looking at revies for the phones I liked and they all sucked :( I know that I should make up my own mind about them and not be prejudiced, but it's always best to get a general concensus, right?

The one I will be getting shortly, it has 80MB of memory, Video, 1.3 Megapixel camera, very good screen, Bluetooth, IR, MP3 player etc.

It's pretty much the same layout as your current phone, so nice and easy for you to get used to. Sony Ericsson are the best make of phones IMO, and a few of my mates too.

Bluetooth will rarely cause you problems. It'd be hard to find a decent camera phone without bluetooth.

Just turn Bluetooth off, that's what I do.

Nokia 66xx series. (packed with features - I've installed mobile Opera on mine and can view eBay/counterglow)

Siemens D500: Looks great, nice 1mp camera, video, small but everyone's got one.

Motorola Razor: Nice camera, very cool looking phone.
