View Full Version : Wedding

My oldest daughter Erin was married this past saturday 7-02-05.

About 140 people attended. It was great. If I knew how to format pictures the right size I would upload them for you all, but alas, I am a fuckhead. :-P~~

Anyway, it went well, everyone had a great time and that is the biggest reason I haven't been around at all. Been very busy with preparations and all.

Plus we then had a big 4th of july bash at my house with lots of people that came from all over the east coast, to the wedding, and enjoyed the shit out of our pool (24 ft. round ) and the new added deck all around the pool.

Bad news.... still out of work over the feet problems.. going on 13 weeks now. Hopefully I'll go back to work the first week of August, but with little relief from pain. Not as bad as it was, but it still hurts consistently and I am still taking pain killers as needed... going on almost 5 years with these fuckin' things now.

But anyway, we have been busy as shit the last month and we had a great few days from the day before the wedding uo until and thru the 4th.

Hope you all are well.

Congradulations is in order for my daughter and her husband . Thank god he won't be going back to Iraq. He has a cushy computer job for the next 3 years gauranted, at Fort Bragg. He reuped for 3 years to get this job for some high ass Colonel or some shit. He got George the position with a guarantee (as best as one can be guaranteed) to be stateside and this guy's personal computer whiz for the next 3 years of his ToD.

See you'ze when I see you'ze. :)

Congrats - damn OW - every time you post (that I've seen) your in some form of pain or another. Hope your foot gets better soon.

Thanks Trip. And basically I have been in pain with the feet ( both of them, not just one) for the past almost 5 years now. So it is always the same old pain. Lucky me. :D

I was thinking it was your foot the last time I heard you whining a few years back. :) I was surprised to hear it was your foot again.

Take comfort in knowing that podiatrist have the lowest MCAT scores out of all practicing medicine specialties. So your doctor didn't get into feet because he or she has a fetish, but because that's the only way they'd get into med school.

07-07-2005, 06:28:25
Actually, it is not a podiatrist I see. I go to an orthopaedic specialist. The podiatrist couldn't do nothing for me five years ago so he referred me to an ortho specialist. He's the one that has done the surgery and has been taking care of me. Giving me all the pain killers I can handle since nothing else has worked,

Whining.... ha. Bastard, :D

Get your new son-in-law to format the photos. :D

07-07-2005, 07:08:26
What good is he if he can't do shit like that for his father in law?

07-07-2005, 08:24:46
Congrats on the good news.
Sorry about the bad news.
Errr... that's it.

A batch photo resizer. There's probably something out there that does that, but I haven't researched it at all.

Congrats and best wishes on the wedding. Your daughter must be on Cloud Nine. And hats off to your son in law for his service to the country. I hope the orthopedic doctor finds something that does reduce the pain.

Irfanview does batch resizing, and much more besides. I use it at work, it rocks!

 for the wedding

and  for the pain. Call it a prescription.

There's a Windows Powertoy that will do batch-resizing from the explorer right-click menu:

Congratulations on the wedding, OW, that's awesome.

The pain sucks though. A friend of mine was on heavy pain meds for years for a bum knee. Often he'd answer his door, litterally green-coloured. Then he got a new knee, and he was like a whole different person. Anyway, you can always look forward to when it's over. :)

Tom, very excellant news. Congradulations to you, Eilane, and your daughter [and the groom that somehow eluded getting whacked].

Congrattulations and felicitations. Beat me by a week, tommorow I walk a daughter down the aisle. A much cheaper proposition over all than acquiring a wife.

Open the images with "Paint"

Select "Image"

Select "Stretch/Skew"

Resize at your leisure..
