Diane and I were just watching the end of Live 8 on tv when my cat came in the room, dropped a live rat on the floor and looked at us like "hey, look what I've found".

So were there looking at this rat and this cat, who are both looking at each other and at us and we're all like, what the fuck do we do now?

The thing was so scared I easily trapped it with a saucepan and I let it go down the road. It will probably be back.

I've already written to my mp about the growing rat problem in the area which is all down to the Perfect Fried Chicken outlet and all the pikeys that come to our road, eat their greasy shit and leave the bones in the road.

We found another smaller rat in the house the other day.

We have some serious problems.

Should have killed it and used it to brew a fine cider ;)

I've had four birds, two baked potatos, countless slices of bread, a birdfeeder, socks, underwear, pullovers, a couple of mice and a rat brought to me in various states of health and decomposition.

I'm starting to think the cats may be mentally deranged.

Predator's sharing their food. Quite normal if irritating.

OK, the socks and pullovers are a bit weird...

your cats are capable of making you baked potatos and your complaining about the occasional rat?

I'd be worried about them leaving the gas on.

Funnily enough I wrote to my mp and he wrote back today saying the area is spotless and there is no problem whatsoever.

Which is why I'm charging up my camera batteries and going on a little photographic mission to capture shots of all the rotting chicken flesh and litter laying in the gutter.
