View Full Version : selling mobo and processor

I'm looking to upgrade my motherboard and processor to amd for more pro tools tracks and audio processing power.

What I have already though is a D865PERL and P4 with ht. That's still quite good isn't it?

Could I sell what I have easily enough? Where would be the best place to sell?

E-Bay, you can sell it with no problems.

People really will buy anything off eBay.

In general, you'll get a better response selling the mobo + CPU together (with RAM if you want) and described as "tested & working - 30 day refund".

If you sell it as untested/no refund, or don't say, people will be a lot more wary. Well, I certainly would.

People buy KNOWINGLY broken components off there to scavenge them for their own broken boards. You should have no problems selling it - at a price you'd like, probably not.

Yeah, you can sell them but you'll hardly get any money for them.

I wouldn't mind a new MoBo + CPU.

How much are you looking to get for them?

Funny, I am interested in doing the same thing.
However I find out that the CPU and MOFO that I want will be 700 pounds. Even the one that I'd settle for will be 350 (almost the cost of my entire computer new)

Still, eventually it'll have to be done.
