At the request of Nills and Funko-

Imagine if you will, a party, filled with the inmates of Counterglow, all dressed up as different characters/animals/things.

Who would YOU go as?

And what do you think everyone else would go as?

Here are my guesses:

Nills- the devil
K_G- The Fonz
Funko- Oliver Cromwell or King Charles the 2nd (I'm not sure why but I think the wigs would work!)
MrG- a peanut in a jamjar
Greg- a barbequed prawn
Venom- a bowling ball
Hellokitty- a rampant rabbit

:D

Me- hmmm I've always like the snow queen in the Narnia Chronicles. It would definitely have to be some kind of witch or queen with an outrageous costume

"Funko- Oliver Cromwell or King Charles the 2nd (I'm not sure why but I think the wigs would work!)"

Do I have some kind if inner turmoil that makes me hate and fight myselt?

The Norks

I just like to envisage you in powdered wigs, frock coats and britches

Venom

I wouldn't be a bowling ball. I'd be a soccer ball.

Funko

Don't Cromwell and Charles II look totally different - Roundheads vs Cavaliers?

The Norks
16-06-2005, 13:53:25
not that different- roundheads refers to the helmets they wore I think.

mr.G
16-06-2005, 13:53:32
MrG- a peanut in a jamjar NO WAY

never ever, i wanne be a three year old in a cage of jelly.
or just a dwarf in a polar bear pyjama, banging a bassdrum.
Do you never pay attention?

Yes! I think there's one of me with massive aviator galsses and sombrero on the way to the Bristol gig??

Funko, if you went as king charles wouldn't you get to put those strange red "beauty" spots on your face.

The Norks
16-06-2005, 14:02:28

No. No. Never. I don't like the idea of being the 'cool' one. I see fancy dress as a chance to do something ridiculous.

I'd like to go as a pirate.

Failing that, some highly cumbersome costume likely to induce falling over would be my choice. Like a giant carrot or something.

Funko
16-06-2005, 14:16:27
If you go as a pirate you'd better hope there are no ninjas there.

MoSe
16-06-2005, 14:24:06
I'd go as a zit

MoSe
16-06-2005, 14:25:17
that is:
all dressed in red, with mayo-filled mouth, ready to squirt if you squeeze me

Tizzy
16-06-2005, 14:27:22
I'm rubbish at fancy dress.
I could host the party and therefore excuse myself from having to dress up :gotit:

Note: 15 months after moving house I've yet to have a housewarming party

Nills Lagerbaak
16-06-2005, 14:29:03
Well, there's an excuse if ever I heard one. To what address should I have the throne delivered?

Funko
16-06-2005, 14:29:22
The host has to dress up too! Set an example.

Funko
16-06-2005, 14:45:01
You'd steal Vinnie's costume?

Funko
16-06-2005, 14:45:25
Would Hello Kitty come dressed as flood defenses?

MOBIUS
16-06-2005, 14:46:20
Obviously I'd have to kill him first.

Failing that, I'd be a pirate - ARRR!

http://www.sweatpantserection.com/stories/img/44/amish_sheep_fucker.jpg

Ezekiel was a simple man. He was content to till his fields with the ox-plow, read the Bible by the soft glow of an oil lamp and play the sweet hymns of Jehovah on his hand-hewn fiddle. His children were grown and his wife, Josephine, taken by consumption the year before, was no longer there to satisfy his pleasures of the flesh. Alone and grieving, Ezekiel turned to something most shameful. It began the night he crept into his barn and was struck by the beauty of his prized sheep, Jebediah. Jebediah returned his gaze, calmly chewing. Soon the staring gave way to stroking and stroking quickly turned to fondling. It wasn't long before Ezekiel's instrument of the devil was buried six inches deep in Jebediah's rectum.

Fancy Dress? I don't have a fancy dress. I don't even have an ordinary dress.

I guess I'll just have to go naked.

Greg W

I'd go as something far more silly than a BBQ'd prawn. For instance some things I have previously gone to Fancy Dress Parties as:

- A perty themed "Noir". I went dressed as KKK, walked in and said "I hear there's is gonna be some black men here tonight".

- A party themed "A Night at the Opera". Went as a roadie, torn jeans, black AC/DC t-shirt, pack of fags in rolled up sleeves on my flannie, with my ex-wife similarly dressed with a bun (cushion) in the oven.

I may very well turn up dressed as the Croc Hunter tho, if I were going native dress. Or a lifesaver in a pair of budgie smugglers. That'd scare the girls off...
