I think this is silly enough for CG - could be wrong.

In an nutshell, the US says the North West Passage is an international piece of sea. Canada disagrees.

How long before merchant shipping starts using it, I wonder?

EDIT: Do they change their links on a daily basis?

I'm joining up for a war against Canada. Only 1 thing could be better, bashing some Frenchies into the ground.

Link reposted above, don't blame me if people screw with their own sites.

No, you evidently copied and pasted from a forum(?) which truncated the link for displaying, rather than the address itself.

Of course, once the ice is actually melted, Greenpeace will send a ship up there to protest its use as a shipping channel.

Fat lot good that will do.

EDIT: Seeing as I cut and paste it into the original forum... I was assuming it wouldn't get arsefucked.
