Saw it yesterday.

It was good.

What was the fuss about?

Then again from everything I'd heard I was expecting it to be awful so maybe it's just a difference in perception due to different expectations.

Anyway I've now ordered part III from play.com so I can see how it ends.

Agreed, Matrix Reloaded is a really good movie IMO. The third one is quite shit though.

I thought no.2 was fine as well. Not as good as the first, but still very good.

Personally I think the people who said it was crap were the ones too stupid to follow the plot...;)

3 was utter wank though, I think they lost their courage after 2 and completely rewrote it for the morons who hated 2...

Except didn't they film them back to back and release them a few months apart?

Anyway. I'll let you know what I think after 3.

I should get it later this week so you can borrow it when I've seen it.

The reason it got panned so badly was that it was so bad compared to the first. Stand alone, its a decent movie.

I didn't bother to see the third one, should get around to it.

I didn't think it was that bad compared to the first. The special effects and action sequences are better, possibly less original, there's a similar amount of bullshit mumbo jumbo etc. but generally it's a good sci fi romp much like the first one.

Then again I thought some of the praise for the first one was a bit extreme. It was very entertaining movie, had great style, Keanu played himself which he's very good at and there were some fantastic pioneering special effects but it wasn't the BEST MOVIE EVAH!!!!111!!one11!!

The third one is a bit like Revenge of the Sith - as a film, it's nothing special, but as a conclusion to the trilogy, it does the job with well, and with style.

Funnily enough I just read two reviews that said the opposite - they said it was ok as a movie but a real disappointment as a series ender.

I preferred the third one. Mind you, they both disappeared up their own arses.

I didn't like the first one so I've never seen the other two. I probably will one day and will probably find they're better than I imagine them to be.

No 2 was alright. No 3 was pressed shit.
