View Full Version : READING (the town) THREAD - After Dark Membership Cards

For those of you who are no longer getting After Dark news letters you'll be devastated to learn that this weeks newsletter included an after dark membership card!

I can get money off, free entry to some nights, extra drinks promotions.

Eventually some nights (eg Fools Gold) might become members only.

Luckily members can request more membership cards for my friends by sending an e-mail with membership in the title so it doesn't get deleted as spam to Neil using neil at theafterdarkclub.com

I'm sure any of you who wants one can get your own, but he does say that things like this are why it's so important you keep your addresses up to date.

This weekend I can get Carlsberg for 2 tonight (woo) and 50p off entrance on Saturday (double woo).

if only the after dark actually was like that instead of a sweaty dive full of underage drinkers playing music we were listening to ten years ago...

Funko

Well the 80s night plays 80s, top of the pops plays anything from 60s to 90s but the indy night is really up to date.

Very modern stuff, the DJs both work for record companies so they normally have the latest stuff before it's out.

I just WISH they played what they played 10 years ago.

The Norks

whenever I go there, all they seem to play is frigging Nirvana and all that stuff. Grunge I believe is what the kids are calling it.

Of course its possible that I am stepping back in time through a portal.

I do like 80's night, but mainly because I feel really young when I go there (everyone is at least 35- 40) and they usually play livin on a prayer, which is the best 80's track EVAH!

Would not be seen dead in a "Nite Club" spot like that.

2 for a bottle of lager? Do they think I'm brain dead?

In fact, if somebody sent me such a thing it would be strongly tempting to turn up, demand to see the manager and then shove it up his arse.

King_Ghidra

i think you have the wrong impresssion of the place...
