View Full Version : The Stone Roses...

I was just listening to BBC 5Live, and they interviewed Michael Eavis at the Ivor Novello awards. They asked him who he'd like to replace Kylie at Glastonbury this year and he mentioned that he'd been talking to the Stone Roses about it (specifically Ian Brown, though John Squire was mentioned too). He said it was by no means definate, but he's confident...

While I think it's quite a terrible idea, I would probably watch them on TV. And I also hope they do it because Eavis said that number 2 on his wish list is The Killers, and them headlining Glastonbury would just be wrong.

Jesus. Either way, could be the excuse I was looking for to make an early exit before the leaving rush.

Stone roses - don't think my ears have recovered from the last time.

Seems the norm at festivals now - Either a big old band or a reformed big band or a current group who is hot property at the moment, but with only one album and not enough material - Especially The Darkness at Reading last year!
