A bottle of Scotch beforehand usually calms the nerves.

Good luck.

Is that wise? Might the odd "asshole", "dickhead" or "motherfucker" slip into your patter?

By now Beta has surely fucked up the interview enough to have been unceremoniously shown the door.

Not if he has his AK with him.

I probably shouldn't have driven the car through the front of the building. It was all plate glass and just looked like you were meant to!

Actually it went pretty well. While I was waiting to go in I heard the end of the previous candidates interview, I certainly did a hell of a lot better than him! Should hear within the next 10 days but assuming they are still after biologists I should be in with a good chance

The waiting stresses me out.

Are they taking so long because they want you to forget the interview so you aren't mad whe you don't get it, or are they taking so long because they need to get your desk ready?

Are they so fast because they alread know the don't want you, or are they that fast because they really liked you?

What the hell!

Good luck.

Often, waiting period is simply b/c they have other people to interview.

Except in your case. They just want to torture you.

If you ever want to really wait, try getting a job with the government.

I always found it funny that if a career fair has a booth for a gov. position, there is rarely anyone or anything at that booth.

The standard "Title 5" hiring process my (US gov.) office can take up to 270 days, IIRC.

Most times there's a way to work a little not-quite-SOP bureaucratic magic to get people in sooner. You just do whatever it takes, and apologize later.

Who can wait 270 days to start working?

In this case its because any offer/rejection has to go through the central government thing.

Yeah, and in this country they also have to audit your tax returns as part of the job rejection process.
