for those that frequent that other site, you know this was in the works, but for the twats that reside here, i proposed to my girlfriend this past weekend, and, well... she said yes. i have a fiancee, and will be upgrading to the full wife packaged autumn of two thousand six.

The wife model has pretty poor reliability ratings according to Consumer Reports.

Congratulations, I think.

I've been engaged for nearly two years now. Still can't afford to get married though.

We're looking at going to Sri Lanka or the Dominican Republic, family and friends can purchase their own tickets.

If we were to marry in England it would cost in excess of 10,000 but if we do it abroad then it would be 3,000-4,000.

Everything adds up. We have a big family and loads of friends too so the reception costs alone are massive. We figured the easiest way is to go somewhere nice and hot and if anyone wants to come they can.

Weddings are cheap. Reception parties, dresses, suits, flowers, gifts and stationary are not.

Yeah, totally. Why have that be a financial drain when these days you can potentially marry someone who earns more than you.

I've never seen the point in getting maried. It seems like a waste of money and a massive amount of pressure and focus on your relationship. Should that relationship go tits up then you can't just split up, you have to do all sorts of legal shit.

Nah, not for me.

'cause you get to have a massive party like we did on Saturday, although it's a lot cheaper to let someone else get married and just go to the party.

Pfew, I was afraid this was about SB buggering some girl up the arse, and is now facing legal action, even though she said yes initially.

But this is good news. Congratulations, SB.
