Have my interview on thursday for the PGCE course.
Undecided over what to wear.
Could wear a suit but maybe thats too business like. esp if tutors turn out to be beard and leather elbow patch types.
Could do trousers/tie/jumper sort of thing.
Or something else.

Do the suit.

Ditto. Do the suit, look your best...
People always make this mistake about looking 'too formal' for an interview. It is crap - dress to impress...

It shows how much you want the job
My dad says "You gotta make the team, before you get to wear the uniform."

Arrgh!
*Sound of MOBIUS keeling over onto the floor*:p
Yeah, you can never be too formal for these things, but then I would go smart/caj for this sort of thing...

Yeah, go suit. Add leather patches to the elbows if you like.

Suits YOU, sir! Suits YOU!
They won't care. Just so long as you can tie your shoelaces and don't dribble.

You can look too formal. I wouldn't think turning up for an interview for a McJob wearing a suit would go down all that well. But for white-collar work, go the suit!

Yup, unless they tell you to wear something else. I had an interview last week and when the guy called to schedule, he expressly said to wear casual.

Maybe SP can lend you his awesome tie.

Japher's dad means - it doesn't matter what the dress code is for the job, you have to get the job before you can wear it.
Suit!

Suit. Regardless of what the interviewer might wear, it shows respect for the situation.

No, this is my first summer in Victoria in a couple years, and I haven't been in heat enough to bring out the snake.

Absolutely - I never dress formally at work but it would be impractical anyway working in a laboratory...

Don't be so hard on yourself Japher ;)
I used to use rats when I did my stuff on animals...
