Okay, info for anyone who cares:).

I have caught this nasty little bug again and can be found on U.S West, under the name of Thralll(Shining1).

Note the three l's, that's what you have to go to to get a halfway decent Blizzard name these days...

I'll have to meet up with you some time and thrash the ancients through hell and back. I have never had any trouble getting names on the European servers though, must be the Americans.:D

Groan! Another one.

Wow. There are still people playing D2 on the official realms. You've got some patience. When I play, I do it on private servers, but I'm hardly on as often as I used to. It's just too   .

Once my copy of Dungeon Siege arrives, my D2 days will be over. Should be in 2 weeks.

I'm NotDearth on US West, if I play anytime soon, it will be a private game named HARDMAN, password: gaytwat. :) That way I'm easy to find.

I don't expect to play since JKII has completely sucked me in. Icewind Dale and Pool of (sewage) Radiance are both half finished and I expect them to remain that way for awhile. PoR may remain that way forever, since the new patch doesn't appear to address the sound/stutter/freeze bug.

I too am Diablo IIing again. Finally bought the expansion.

Haven't got a realm character yet, but it looks like US West is the place to be...

USEast for me.

08-04-2002, 22:17:42
U R all gay twats

Syrali(LadyRachel) USWEST, of course. :)

Of all the bizarre obscure names that are taken... Glaurung was understandable, though disappointing... but who the hell is using Adanedhel?

Anyway, I'm Ar-Feiniel (Neithan) on US West.

I have two words to contribute to the end of this thread.

I heard the MP in Dungeon Siege is crap so I've cancelled my order.

So ... how is it?

13-04-2002, 21:52:20
Okay, first, I didn't post that, someone was posting under my name again.

Not that I don't agree with it, Dungeon Siege has been an awesome game so far. Especially the MP. We had a near 12 hour LAN session on Friday (11:51 to be precise). It's not a perfect game - the magic sides are a bit weak and harder to gain experience in, and you can go a very long time between towns.

But, gods, it does so many other things right...

13-04-2002, 22:24:02
12 hour LAN session on one game? How dull.

14-04-2002, 01:50:07
Some things I've read about Dungeon Siege MP:

- your char data is saved but not certain other things (like 'waypoints', completed quests etc.)

- you can't have a mule in MP

- char data is saved on your HD ---> cheater's heaven

I don't care at all about the SP part, MP is important for me. The things I listed (and probably some more I forgot) are definite reasons for me not to buy that game, at least not until those issues are fixed.

That should actually read.... "no shoes wearin' Tennessee Hillbilly Bastard."

Kind of like Hobbits.... sorta. :-P~~

14-04-2002, 11:08:41
I know but it doesn't quite fit in.

14-04-2002, 11:18:04
No mule? Am I missing something here?!

If anyone happens to be on USEast, I have all kinds of useless junk I can give them.

& others...:)

In case anyone still cares and dosen't know, chipped gems are very valuble now.

15-04-2002, 14:50:10

15-04-2002, 15:06:38
I'm not 100% sure but it's probably because of the 'magic weapon + 3 chipped gems -----> magic weapon with different attributes + sockets' cube recipe.

I never cared much about D2X.

The Mad Monk

Mt got it in one. A lot--a lot--of very high level players are spending a lot of time making (or trying to make) elite cruel 3 socket swords using that method, but don't want to spend the time needed in the lower level games required to get the chips.

So, they're selling all the uniques, sets, and rares that wouldn't get even one SOJ for...chips.

Ever see Ginther's Rift?

Ginther's Rift *
Dimensional Blade
(28-35) - (72-90) Damage
60 Durability
85 Str Required
60 Dex Required
Item Level: 45
Clvl Req: 37 +100-150% Enhanced Damage
Adds 50-120 magic damage
30% Increased Attack Speed
Magical Damage Taken Reduced by (7-12)
Repairs 1 durability in 5 seconds
+40 Increased Durability Range: 2
Dmg Bonus: 100 Str
Weapon Speed: -30
Swing Speed:
Very Fast: All

I just purchased that for 8 chips.

Theres also a Pgem and Pskull trade, but they're less lucrative from my POV.

BTW 40 chips (in one shot, all either can carry) may land you one SOJ.

16-04-2002, 04:41:58
What the hell is a SOJ?

I think I'm going to feel stupid when I find out, but this has been confusing me ever since I looked at the runes page on the Arreat Summit website.

Don't look at Arreat Summit. Look at Diabloii.net.

SOJ = Stone of Jordan, the 'standard currency' for years now.
