In my desperation for alcohol I have resorted to the german wine that has been skulking in our wine rack for 6 months. I suspect its off, but it was a toss up between this, the paintbrush cleaner, or the Bolly.

It smells like dusty floorboards, and tastes like licking wine off the sole of an old man's shoe, with a subtle hint of fermenting Jew.

Still, I'm going to drink it anyway.

I sometimes have a glass or two of vino, or a couple of beers while I relax in the evenings- I'm not exactly waking up drenched in my own piss in a gutter every day!

There are some very lovely german wines!
But as jsorense said, not affordable $$$$$
The usual german stuff in the shops is only good for varnish removal.

FYI, German wines are some of the best in the world. Do not have high expectations for the low quality Qualitäswein, such as liebfraumilch. This stuff is usually sweet and tasteless. For something a lot more interesting stick with the estate bottles wines designated Qualitäswein mit Prädikat. These come in different qualities and increasing sweetness and complicity. The very nice and usually least expensive is the Kabinett, then Spätlese, Auslese, then the desert wines of Beerenauslese and Trockenbeerenauslese (very expensive). You can also find some thing called Eiswein made from frozen grapes.

They do. At least in alcohol dependant student areas like where I currently reside. Booze2u delivers beer 24 hours a day

I live in an area where they will bring food from any take away or collection of take aways, to your door. They wil also bring booze, fags, DVDs and do your laundery for you. But the finest service is that provided by the "Shroom Selecta" Magic shrooms from around the workld, delivered fresh to your door, and every month a new "guest shroom". Brilliant.
