The official poll. What's best a burger or a hot dog.

Tizzy

Argh, question too difficult.

Hmm, on one hand, the burger. Mmm, juicy burger, with cheese and salad and ketchup, mmm tasty.

On the other hand, the hot dog. Onions and mustard and ketchup, mmm, also tasty.

Hang on, burger on one hand, hot dog on the other, ah ha, I'll have both!

Or the serious answer, burger, cos there's usually a better filling:bread ratio

Help. Help, my democratic rights are being repressed!

Hotdog is a great snack, but a (good) hamburger is more, almost a meal.

Well, I suppose at least with a hot dog you know you're not getting any meat. No pretence.

Tricky one, depends what you mean by a hot dog. A real cumberland sausage or two in a french stck with onions, grain mustard and cheese would be much better than a burger.

If however you mean a puny wiener then......

Just answer the question. This is science.

Burger...but its a close one

Not according to the poll it ain't.

Funko
17-05-2005, 11:28:20
The way I see it if I could never have a hot dog again or never have a burger I'd keep burgers and not hot dogs. Sad but there you go.

King_Ghidra
17-05-2005, 11:30:26
it's not that sad

Greg W
17-05-2005, 11:30:41
You really should have added Kebabs to the poll.

mr.G
17-05-2005, 11:31:12
why?

King_Ghidra
17-05-2005, 11:32:38
so they could come even more last than hotdogs did

Well, where's your formula sheet then? You haven't defined components and their relative quantities for hotdog nor burger.

you tell him. No way this fiasco is attracting funding.

Hot dogs are so rare! I'd go for them on novelty alone, burgers are everywhere these days (although more filling)

It's psychological, you are the monkey not the scientist, if I told you what we were investigating it would ruin the study.

there are plenty of other pleasures to fall back on

There's a great add about late night Kebabs.

It starts with a beer. Then another. And another. And much later, a Kebab. You're never quite sure how you got it, but if your girlfriend doesn't kill you, the garlic sauce will.

Classis.

Funko
17-05-2005, 11:39:53
I reckon I'd only have garlic sauce on a chicken shish, not a doner. On a doner it's got to be chili sauce and lemon juice.

MoSe
17-05-2005, 15:30:14
scientifically speaking tho, you should specify context, conditions, etc...
for instance, you could find more satisfactory getting :brwncard:ed with a hot dog rather than getting :brwncard:ed with a burger

Lurker the Second
17-05-2005, 15:34:11
I'd take hot dogs b/c a burger's basically always just ground beef, but a hot dog can be so many different things.

King_Ghidra
17-05-2005, 15:45:59
is MoSe really trying to claim we should judge this based partly on whether somone anally rapes us with the food in question?

Hot Dog is in about 5 billion thread titles on the first page here

so

I'll go with hamburger

Burglars are lovely. But they have to be right proper, made of lovely beefs and perhaps with a bit of blue cheese. Yummy yummy I love meat in my tummy!

I'm afraid it has to be the burger. I wrote a long essay on this years ago...I would post it but I can't find it...
