Funko

I go away for half an hour (tea break) and suddenly there are millions of posts to read!

Stop this relentless posting, please, I can't keep up.

Tizzy

That'll teach you about having tea breaks.

Funko
16-05-2005, 15:40:18
To have more?

JM^3
16-05-2005, 15:43:53
I would like some tea

maybe when I go to grade..

I just need to work up the cuts to call someone who I don't think wants to hire me for the summer and ask if he will.. (he didn't reply back to my last email)

Jon Miller
(then it is off to grading)

A summary would be good (you can skip the poly part).

I was being sarcastic.

Stop all the posting, cut off the Counterglow,
Prevent Lurker from barking with a juicy bone,
Silence the dutchmen and with muffled Jon
Close up the forum, let the morons come.

Lurker the Second

that doesn't rhyme.

Immortal Wombat
16-05-2005, 15:58:09
Is it meant to?

True poetry always rhymes. Shakespeare can eat a dick.

Funko
16-05-2005, 16:02:46
And he can eat one pretty quick.

Stick to smoking the dimes... Eating that would make you sick

You most definitely intended for it to rhyme, but fucked up.

So it was satire!

IW is a genius!

Of course you had to read Jon as Jow (Mik;etr).
ça va sans dire

Immortal Wombat
16-05-2005, 16:12:46
It's close enough. Any further enrhymening would have detracted from the source material and its intended counterpoint, in Counterpoint.

Let only 404s load up instead
Scribbling on the screen: The Forum Is Dead,
Put crepe bows round the white necks of the forum sluts,
Let the feral C-Beasts feast upon their guts

I wish I could write poetry

instead I am putting off what is needed to be done..

CG was my North, my South, my East and West,
My working week and my Sunday rest,
My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;
I thought those posts would wait for ever: I was wrong.

Your posts are not wanted now: slow down everyone;
Pack up the spam and delay the fun;
For Funko went away, for tea-time feeding
Returning now he finds he has excessive reading.

Ode to Jon Miller

I was going to write a poem
but then I got bored

When Funko returned from his tea
He was most disappointed to see
A host of new posts.
The forum now boasts
a fresh mound of stupidity.

When my mother visited in February, we bought her a few packets of tea bags. She only drank half of them, and then went back home. No-one's a tea drinker in my house, so now we're stuck with them. I've been trying to gather the courage to try some of the stranger herbal ones, but it's almost summer now, and it's too hot to drink a hot beverage.

Japher
16-05-2005, 17:54:59
I like Iced Tea

also, there are plenty of rubs for chicken and fish that call for tea.

what kind of tea is it, perhaps I can find you such a recipe.

Venom
16-05-2005, 18:07:02
Tea doesn't rhyme with tea. Mostly because it's THE SAME DAMN WORD!

Japher
16-05-2005, 18:09:46
crap, I didn't realize that

I wasn't trying to rhyme

just trying to make Qaj fat

I pay more attention next time

ummm... I wonder, how's ice tea prepared...
I think it has to begin as a hot infusion anyway, but then :gotit: you can cool it!

A tea break is so gay.

17-05-2005, 22:44:35

Tea breaks tend to include mini technical meetings but gets us away from our screens for a bit which is good.

So they're the sole part of your day that actually resemble "work", right?

Is this an example of that irony I keep hearing about?

Venom

I'm the irony master, let me examine the evidence....Yes. That is irony.

Can you drink beer for tea?

Venom
18-05-2005, 14:14:08
That violates the tennants of the tea break. That would be an alcoholic break.

Funko
18-05-2005, 14:16:12
Although coffee is allowed in a tea break. How odd.

Tizzy
18-05-2005, 14:17:34
Coffee shouldn't be allowed ever.

Venom
18-05-2005, 14:18:03
Coffee and tea breaks are almost the same thing.

Then tea breaks suck.

BTW, "tennants"?

Drekkus
18-05-2005, 14:20:23
Are they renting the tea?

Tizzy
18-05-2005, 14:23:43
 They have to give the tea back when they're finished with it.

Eww.

So I can't spell and probably used the wrong word anyway.

Venom

Tenet, that was the word I meant.

We should have a totally phonetic posting day.

Venom
18-05-2005, 14:32:38
That would be awesome.

Of course, what can you expect from me? I got a 67% on the anal grammar test. How good could I be at spelling?

Lurker the Second
18-05-2005, 14:34:15
You could suck at it quite horribly.
