No, a stupid stupid stupid human thing
Dis some serious drinking in Utrecht, ended up with a couple who thought they had an open relation.
I know them via a friend of mine, after about 15 beers she tells me, on the dance floor, that she likes me a lot (speaking with two tongues in your mouth is very very difficult). She tells me they had an open relation and all.
things happen.......
well their 10 years old relation is about to crash at this moment.

bad mrG bad bad mrG
alcohol is no excuse and i really are ashamed of myself but ......hey I didn't open pandoras box.

JM^3

I agree with the title than

I don't tihnk open relations are natural...

and so are a lot more unstable

but I would also say that you were probably not far in the wrong...

You're not responsible for other people's relationships. They're adults, it's their problem.

mr.G
15-05-2005, 16:48:05
I'm drinking off my sins now,
Yes Jon, I know that the real problem is not really mine but theirs but i did had/have a strong opinion or view about relations. they are *sacred * don't fuck with them.
normally i'm all ethic, well not last night,

I disagree

if you see someone in a party, hit it off, but you know they are married/engaged than you shouldn't persue it

Jon Miller
(unless maybe you know them very well, and feel that you would be better in the relationship in which case you are trying to win that person, which is ok)
(is ok if they aren't your freind)

mr.G

and I should quatify my saying it is ok, and say that in that case your knowing the person (and interest) should be pre relationship

if you meet someone in a relationship, get close to them, and than try to break it up that isn't good either

Jon Miller

You enjoyed it, she enjoyed it... what's the problem?

So they might split. Well, they might have split without you anyway.

I rely on my fiancée to keep my trust, not some random stranger she meets.

If you meet a girl at a party and she's willing to cheat with you, chances are she'll cheat with somebody else.

My problem is the guilt.
Not really for what happened but hey I live in Rotterdammit not in Utrecht, so that;s all save and all.
but i gave my friend (the one who trow yjat party) a problem. He has nothing to doooo di doooo with it but he knows me (very very good) and knows them.

apologise to him, but make it clear that she said that sleeping with you was ok because she was in an open relationship.

If thats all it took to bust their marriage.......then it wasnt all it took, if you know what I mean. It was probably a symptom of something wider thats been going wrong in their relationship for a long time.

Plus you were under the influence and so was she, people do all kinds of crazy crap. YOur friend shouldnt feel bad either, as he had nothing to do with it.

mr.G
15-05-2005, 17:20:19

Scientific theories are judged by the coherence they lend to our natural experience and the simplicity with which they do so. The grand principle of the heavens balances on the razor's edge of truth.
