I am starting to like Aussie rules AFL.

I have some questions about the rules, but what the hey. It's like a voyage of discovery. I almost wish that I could watch hockey with the same new eyes. I really wish hockey was being played by the NHL. Sigh.

I am getting the impression they have to kick after 6 or 7 downs, and they're not allowed to ice the ball.

There is a blue line though, right?

And they do have to wear skimpy little shorts, right?

And you get points for missing, right?

Sadly no blue line, but that have these nifty circular areas and the whole field is an oval.

Tight shorts and shirts. I'm surprised the game isn't followed more closely in some communities.

Do they get points for missing? They have funny fieldgoal posts that go all the way to the ground and they seem to score by getting the ball through those.

Opening myself right up for a PHD here, but what the hey...

Yes, there's 4 posts. In between the center two is 6 points. In between the center two and the outer two is a point. We like to make fun of them by saying they got a point for missing.

Yeah yeah, now you can PHd me. :p

I've seen highlights before, but never a full game.

I don't think they ever completed them as they would always descend into huge pitched brawls!:D

They're all mad, that much I do know.

Incidently, the Czechs win gold. 3-0. What a goalie.

Cheers

If there's an injury, yes.
