I feel dizzy. I opened all the windows, but I can't get the smell of bleach out of the back of my throat.

I wasn't trying to get high off it. I had the window open, and I didn't put that much down.

Oops.

Was there anything else in there?

Like old rotten urine? Ammonia + bleach = FUN!

My bathroom floor is whiter than it's ever been before, though...

I like getting others to do it for me

unfortunately I haven't lived at home for 7 years (and have spent more than a month in 5)

I had already cleaned the floor, but there might have been some around the bowl.

I didn't remember about the ammonia-bleach reaction.

Might have gotten a whiff of chlorine gas.

Fuck, that was dumb.

I find it's a good idea to mix ammonia and bleach

At the school where I used to work the bathrooms had extremely poor ventilation. Waxing the bathroom floors was an enlightening experience.

Anyway, I'm on a cleaning binge because my roommate's probably going to be gone for the next couple of months or so (and then within a couple of weeks of that I'll be moving out).

He isn't that messy, but he never ever ever cleaned the communal areas. When somebody's like that I lose my motivation to clean as well, because it gets dirty again twice as fast as if I was living on my own.

I don't quite give up, but I clean much less often than when I'm by myself, when the reward is much larger (and it also pisses me off less to clean up my own mess than it does to clean up somebody else's).

I never used to think I was a neat freak (actually, I know I'm not), but I sure seem to keep things cleaner than a lot of people. I'd hate to see what the apartment would look like if it was my current roommate and my former roommate (the porn addict I told you about) living together. Neither would ever clean anything, all the light bulbs would have burnt out, there'd be garbage piling up on the floor (I also don't get why my current roommate finds it impossible to empty a trash can), there'd be cockroaches everywhere, etc.

Some of the grout in the bathtub still needs to be scrubbed a bit more, and then I'll be done.

it is really hard to keep a house of 9 clean

because everyone dirties a bit by general living

and then there is a mess in the common areas, but everyone thinks that they didn't cause it

well, stuff builds up..

You have 9 people in that house? It didn't seem big enough.

I mean, seriously. As soon as the lid of the can doesn't come down completely, it's time to empty it.

It literally only takes a minute, once every 3-4 days or so with 2 people.

My neighbours probably hate me right now. I went to sleep around 6pm yesterday evening, then woke up around midnight. I've been cleaning since then (including scrubbing all the walls in the kitchen area, cleaning the stove, microwave, mopping the floor etc)

6 people live here, and 3 SOs are usually here

we are only suppose to have 5
