Don't know if she's at all known outside Australia/The US, and I only know she's known in the US because of a show I saw on her last night. Aaaaanyway, she's a young musician, about 22-23, and so talented it almost makes you sick. But she's totally down to earth, and from everything I have seen, has her head screwed on quite well.

Anyway, she's touring the UK this month/next month, and I'd highly recommend seeing her live. I've seen a coupld of performances on TV, and she's brilliant.

Her website can be found here (http://www.missyhiggins.com/), and you can play all the songs off her debut album from the site (might need realplayer or something, worked for me).

I'm not 100% sure how to describe her. About the best explanation I can give is maybe old style R&B, mixed with a bit of soul and jazz. Maybe. I dunno, I'm not good at labelling music. She's great though, that much I can say.

Her tour dates are on the site, but are (as of today):
26.05.2005 - Glee Club, Birmingham
28.05.2005 - King Tuts, Glasgow
29.05.2005 - The Venue, Edinburgh
30.05.2005 - Life Cafe, Manchester
01.06.2005 - London Shepherd's Bush Empire
04.06.2005 - Rescue Rooms, Nottingham
05.06.2005 - Louisiana, Bristol
