It isn't a boring subject matter.

It is if you don't do it. Rather like Venom and redecorating.

Fishing is great fun. Might even head off during my upcoming 3 weeks off and do some fishing. Very relaxing for the soul (though not the sole).

Fishing is really boring.

Tandoori fish with a squeeze of lemon isn't.

Talking about drumming is really boring. That's why I wouldn't know a good drumkit by name and never know what any of the bits are called.

Drumming is amazing. It's like sex and dancing mixed into one. Except it's not just you getting into the groove in your head, everyone else in the venue is getting into the groove in your head.

protein
20-04-2005, 14:30:07
It's also a bit like being in a trance because your mind and limbs are so locked into the groove you can't think of anything other than rhythm.

Greg W
20-04-2005, 14:41:19
I must admit that I have always been curious as to how you remember what do do when. Like, when to bash this drum/cymbol with this stick thingy, all while keeping rhythm with your feet. Seems far too coordinated to me.

I redecorate. I got new furniture the other day. And I painted my hallway. And I got some rugs. So suck on that Cruddy, you embodiment of shit.

I have a gay room in my house. It's for when people like you visit. It's the ante-chamber of the torture room.

Greg W
20-04-2005, 15:07:12
I don't want to know how you try and get ghey sex out of people that come to visit you.

Venom

Oh yes you do. Queer.

Greg W

No. Really. I don't. Go talk with Asher or something.

I was confusing you with zmama. You're both fuckwits with the social grace of duckweed. Thus not easily distinguished.

I'm sorry to hear you have that problem Venom.

Had you said "You can't..." etc there is a slim possibility I might have taken offence.

Translation: stole a sofa off the neighbors front porch, threw up all over the wall in the hallway, and left the towels on the floor after half cleaning itup.

you'd be shocked what you actually need to keep a fish healthy- I spent about 100 on Dh's gear and that didnt include the fish. They told me (quite rightly) 'a fish is an animal and needs due care and attention- we've moved on since the days of winning fish at the fair'

That told me. I checked later in a book, and they were right too. Bastards :D

She has all the right stuff for them, she got everything the people in the pet shop told her, as she bought angelfish and an elephant fish. She's giving the angelfish away now though, because they kill all the others apparently (there were other little fishies, but they died)

It take a long time to "condition" the water as well. It takes a while to balance the amount of waste the aminals produce, the amount of bacteria that eat the waste, the amount of nitrogen in the water, etc. Normally you want to have a cheap set of starter fish so that way when they die off it's no big deal then in a month or so you get rid of the starters and buy the expensive fish.

and you rarely get good advice at fish shops I'm afraid, at least not the high street pets and fish ones.
