I will be taking down this computer after posting this, as one of the final steps before my departure for Kansas.

See you in a couple!

Take down has been delayed some hours while I fix stuff, I may or may not post during that time.

Departure is still scheduled for 09:00 Saturday. :)

you're moving, right? Then why you have to fix stuff?

fix stuff = making sure that all the little things that go wrong / don't get done get done / don't go wrong.

I've been here a couple days, took that long to settle in, rebuild my setup, and restore web access.

My connect speed seems to be cut in half. :(

22-04-2005, 21:17:10
met dorothy already?

22-04-2005, 21:17:54
Where in Kansas did you move?

22-04-2005, 23:47:19

23-04-2005, 12:56:46
You didn't move to Kansas.

Everything else is great, so I consider it a fair trade.

I wasn't able to pack everything I wanted to in the little purple truck, so I really need to make a second run, but I can't afford it right now. :(

I was a little rushed re-packing (at the last minute, when I realized I needed about 20% more truck), and over the past couple days all the little things I accidentally left in storage are making themselves known.

...like the power cords to my VCR, power boost antenna, and one computer.

...or the recharger for my Dremel.

...or the hardware for my weight bench.

...or my installation disk for MS Office 2000.

...or my shaving kit.

However, I did manage to pack a dozen power strips and a box of foam peanuts.

Glad you made the move, safe and sound! We'd heard rumors you'd been hijacked, and forced to move to West Virginia and become one of the slaves tolling away in ZMama's kitchen, baking cookies for her to continue to bribe her loyal legions to do more nefarious deeds.

Well...I did sense a grave disturbance in the Force while driving past Wheeling...

Pittsburgh is closer ;)
