A full-blown LWP, or another "Pollute your ears"?

We're still doing a Deep Soul CD which should be in the launching soon.

As in some time before 2007? Bugger that. I'm a man of action.

:hmm: as long as the action doesn't involve DIY!

I am still planning to make my CD. This weekend...

If I was to do one, I think it would either be Electronica or Americana. Any preferences?

14-04-2005, 17:05:11
Half and half, the best of both?

15-04-2005, 03:35:09
Oooh, electronica would be good. Would you be willing to send one to Japan?

I've sent them to the US and all across Europe before, so Japan wouldn't be a major problem.

I'd love an Americana CD. It'd go well with my Deep Soul one, which is also a load of perverted country basically.

When I say "Americana", bear in mind it'll take into account Delta Blues and Sharecropper hollers. I didn't think that was your scene.

I don't mind the music, just the people who listen to it.

Did SB get dumped?

Anywho...Americana, eh?

That could be interesting....

Didn't you note the "we" in my first post? That's, er, us.

If you all want some Delta blues, or texas blues for the album send me a PM.

I have a large collection, including the FRANKIE LEE SIMS! (also bigger names like everythign by leadbelly( even his songs for clildren (which are not appropriate for kids today)), Mississippi Fred McDowell, etc.)

I also think everyone should listen to the Donnas.

BTW, count me in the next LWP or whatever you end up doing...

So far Americana is winning. Any other opinions?

Not having really seen what you've done before (and I am not reading all the old threads), I find it hard to suggest anything for fear that it's been done before.

This going to be something where Laz sends a CD of all his own choosing to a bunch of people, or one where we all contribute?

Well, me and the GF have a list up on our fridge where we jot down any songs we want on the compo, and it currently numbers about 13, so we're well underway. Since we're going for a no-filler approach the amount of tracks might not be that much higher really.

Is it a CD? Wouldn' it be easier to set up a download zip file with mp3s?

Not when you're on dial-up, have no appropriate MP3 software, and object to listening to music on crappy little PC speakers when you've got a perfectly decent stereo.

Isn't shipping overseas very expensive though?

Costs less than $3 to airmail a cd to England...not bad
