The Pope, he's got God in his pit.

I was watching Death Race 2000 the other day.

The Pope. He's dead already I reckon. But then people have said Prince Rainier of Monaco is already dead too... hmm...

*believes everything he reads on the internet*

Prince Rainier, but the Pope will make it to Heaven first.

Thats assuming he's going there of course

But according to the vatican the pope isn't dying he is "fading serenly". Does a gradual fade out count?

Has to be the pope.

The Vatican said Friday that John Paul's heart and kidneys were failing, his breathing was shallow and his blood pressure had fallen dangerously low. Senior churchmen said the Pope was close to death.

MONACO - Prince Rainier III of Monaco's condition remains "precarious" and his chances of recovery from heart and kidney failure and respiratory problems are very slim, his doctors said Friday.
"Hopes for a favourable outcome remain extremely weak," said a statement issued by the palace and signed by a five-doctor medical team.

Looks like Rainier's early lead has been pulled back due to the fact that doctors are still attempting to save him. The Pole takes the lead.

I'd say the hot money is on the pope. However Prince Rainier could pull this back with a last minute myocardial infarction or stroke but methinks the Pope still has a trick or two up his sleeve...now would be a good time to pull the "liver failure" card

The crowd's behind the God-botherer, though. He might summon up the energy for a last lap of honour around the square, endangering his chances of a swift exit.

One would think the excitement would do him in.

Hmm, a poll about the death of a Pole. :nervous:

Yep, the Pope ended up winning the race.

I wonder who was the lone vote for the Prince?

Prince Rainier is declared as the living loser!

So next round is, who is the money on to become the next pope? I say they keep John Paul II and just enbalm him...no one would be able to tell the fucking difference!

Don't knock it too soon. Among the front-runners are a couple who have track records a red like you would approve of.

I have been looking, some surprisingly good nominations, including being very interracial...

In fact I think the present Archbishop of Canterbury seems to be a pretty sound bloke too...

They should have errored on the side of life and kept John Paul plugged into a machine for at least the next 20 years.

Well they've done that for the past 10 ;)
